Recently I became aware that Placitas Sage Cohousing in Placitas, NM
had decided to abandon their efforts to establish a cohousing community.
I did a little digging and while doing that came across something
from Raines Cohen about learning from failed attempts.  I agree there
mcuh to learn from failure.

Today I got to wondering about a list of attempts to establish
cohousing communites that did not succeed.
Has anyone have such a list?

A quick look at http://www.cohousingresearchnetwork.org/bibliography/
did not find much.  One citation:
"Sun, Surf and Sustainable housing -- cohousing, the Californian Experience."
International Planning Studies 10.2 (2005): 145-77. includes the statment:
An international comparison of the experience of cohousing in the UK
and California and the factors influencing success and failure of
cohousing in both locations are then explored.
