Hello Everyone, 

My name is Camille Gladieux and I am a recent graduate from Mount Holyoke College. I grew up in Miami, FL and recently relocated to Boston, MA. I currently live in a co-op in Dorchester with 12 other folks who vary in age, race, sexual orientation, gender identity, and more! There are some people who have lived in the house for 10+ years and others who have just moved in (like me). I'm interests include diversity, equity, and inclusion, radically rethinking family preservation and how we navigate the department of families and children, access to higher education, and housing.  

I became interested in cohousing from a persona standpoint initially. While I did not grow up in a close-knit community, I've always been drawn to the idea of living and eventually raising a family in one. It then became an interest of mine and spun out into an academic hobby while working closely with a non-profit in Miami that is considering creating an Education Village, that would essentially be a supportive environment for youth who have "aged-out" of foster care to live. 

I wanted to join this community to see what others are doing across the country and to just learn from other perspectives on the topic and way of living. Thanks for letting me join!
