Good question. In some ways EVI operates as three neighborhoods with each their own common house. But they also share regular community-wide meals and collectively own most of the land through a single educational nonprofit. I've always considered it one community with three neighborhoods, but I suppose it's debatable.

the 3 neighborhoods. So it becomes a definitional issue is
Ecovillage at Ithaca one or 3 cohousing communities. Same goes for
Tinggarden.
