Good morning! Thank you for including me in the group.

I'm in Madrid, Spain and am a member of Cohousing Bustarviejo
We are still in the planning stages--waiting for our building license to be approved,
finalizing details with our architects, and filling the last 4 homes that will make up
our community of 17 families.

What brought me to this list/group is curiosity, mainly, and a desire to draw on
the knowledge and experiences of other cohousing communities as a way
to help build the one I'm happily a part of. It's been difficult for us to find research to
inform the decisions we are making and this list seemed like it might open up some avenues.
Also I might be a useful addition to the group as a sort of unofficial liaison between the more established
US cohousing world and the newly blossoming one in Spain.
I'm interested in the differences/similarities between cohousing in different countries/cultural contexts
and also in the advantages/disadvantages of multigenerational cohousing compared to senior cohousing.

I am not in the academic research world. I'm an English teacher for adults and work with a wide variety of professionals.
I also translate Spanish to English. I am not currently working for any Spanish universities although I have in the past,
but always as an English language teacher or a translator.
Perhaps my profile is not appropriate for this group. If it is not, I trust you'll let me know.

Best regards,
JoAnne Hadden
