Thank you Neil and the rest of the CRN team for the warm welcome. I look forward to hearing more about your nascent efforts towards collaborative research being envisioned here. I’d also say that there is perhaps some Convergence offered within the Collaborative?

This is an area of interest within the Clinical and Translational Science Institute at the University of Florida where I work as Assistant Director, Clinical Research- https://www.linkedin.com/in/robert-kolb-423a4514/

I was actually pleasantly surprised to discover this group of scientists and researchers here, which both displays my own implicit biases about what Cohousing looks like and reveals it as a living phenomenon morphing, if not by design then by nature.

When I told my mother I joined the Florida based Gainesville Cohousing community 7 years ago the first thing she asked is, “Do they wear clothes?”. I laughed, however I now realize that though my thinking was a bit more formed then hers at the time apparently not by much.

My current interests here are about identifying evidence based practices of successful communities and to bring that to our still fledgling CoHo where we are taking a careful look at ourselves and our processes.

In addition, I am interested in an emerging area described as Precision Public Health and precisely Cohousing in that context (see attached). We are in the process of developing a Precision Public Health LibGuide  intended to be a one-stop shop for data and datasets for precision public health research - however it occurs to me that these databases and tools are eminently applicable to various types of researchers as well. The multiple types of health related data bases curated here have the obvious prospects of layering and associating data.  This is definitely worth a look.    The collection currently collates :

Look forward to hearing from and meeting some of you all out there and again thank you for the welcome.
