Wish I could go, have a conference is Boston same days. I am working on cohousing and coliving, both of which share an interior commons.

very impressed with the work of IASC and this is the first North Amercan get together.
Is anyone else interested in the larger study of the commons, or going to this event ? It's a researchers work session, much like our CRN gatherings. Good people; very methodologically grounded, but respectful of practitioners as well as academics in creating
a shared knowledge base
My goal is to get the concept of housing commons or better yet village commons into the taxonomy, and to learn more about sharing coding protocols. There is a small subset of members who study coop housing, intentional communities, cohousing, ecovillages,
and indigenous settlements, while the majority study environmental commons. From my tiny experience so far, even the growing interest in "urban commons" focuses on cultural movements, artists, nonprofits, taking over empty buildings and vacant lots, unused
military bases, public parks, gardens; squatter movements might be in there somewhere, but not on residential forms commoning.
